Lasse Nilsson left Enschede with a satisfied feeling yesterday. De Swede guided Heerenveen with two goals past FC Twente. De Frisians booked an important victory in the Arke stadion. With a view to the rank list, but also with a view to morality. "At last we won an away match again. That is nice with the hard match against NEC in Nijmegen ahead of us."

Lasse Nilsson was the big tease yesterday evening for FC twente. Especially in the first half  the defence of Twente had no answer on the fast Swedish attacker. Nilsson scored two goals, not the easiest ones to score. At the first goal he was too clever on the the Twentse defence on effort and passed goalkeeper Pasveer with a toe-kick. At the second goal Nilsson took advantage of the good work of Tarvajärvi. The receiving on the chest was beautiful and the composed kick with left passed Pasveer for the second time . The score for Nilsson stopped on two goals in Enschede , but with a bit more accuracy it would have been possible for Nilsson to bring his season score to 10 goals.

The attacker left a chance at the beginning and at the end of the match, but laughs about it the day after the match.  "Two goals was enough, wasn´t it? I could have scored more often , but not every chance is a goal.  At the first chance I didn´t realize that Zomer walked along. At the chance in the last minute I was tired and more important I had too much time. I started to think about what to do and very often things go wrong then."


Nilsson missed a chance at the start of the match. On the photo he passed goalkeeper Pasveer, but his shot will be taken away of the line by Zomer.
 

We´ll forgive the Swede, because since the departure of Huntelaar and Samaras from Fryslan, the slender left-offender has developed into an important player in the team of Gertjan Verbeek. Nilsson scored seven times in the last eleven duels, but doesn´t want to be compared with Huntelaar and Samaras. "I´m not a goalgetter. You must not expect a 25 goals per season from me. I actually do score a lot for my doing at the moment."

The victory on FC twente was a welcome one for Heerenveen that hadn´t won an away match in two months time. In Enschede Heerenveen proved they have a broad and qualitatively strong selection . André Hanssen played a good game as a substitute of Kissi, and also Niklas Tarvajärvi did a good job. "André played strongly, "Nilsson complimented upon the Norwegian with his performance. "He won many duels and also Niklas played good. It is pleasant  for me to play with Niklas. He is so strong, I can almost always benefit from his work. Even if he does not win the duel, then he is still so difficult for the defense that there almost never follows a good continuation."

Heerenveen stood under a large pressure in the second half because of a fanatical Twente, hunting for their second goal, but strongly hold out. The triumph had been deserved according to Nilsson. "According to the first half, we did deserve it. After rest we were no longer able to attack. We could only keep them away. A couple of times we were lucky. They touched the pile two times but also we had chances. We provided good work as a team and that was enough to win the match."

The 1-2 winnings on FC twente has the result that the Frisians go faithfully into the direction of Nijmegen next week. "We still participate for the top five. We still have four difficult duels ahead of us, but if we continue playing with the same attitude as yesterday evening then there is no need to be afraid of any opponent. Moreover we have won two duels in a row, which makes us only improving."
